Understanding the Power of the System i Integrated File System

Presenters: Richard Theis and Chuck Emig, IBM
12:00pm - 1:15pm CST
Thursdays – October 18, 25, November 1, 8 and 15

The System i Integrated File System (IFS) is a powerful repository for many different types of data -- this ranges from database information to PC data to UNIX. This webinar will give the attendee a good understanding of the structure of the IFS, and information that can be stored there, but also how to secure the data making only selected parts of it available to selected users. Learn the many different facets of the IFS and how to manage, secure, and work with the information stored in the IFS. Understand how i5/ OS NetServer, Network File System, QNTC, and QFileSvr.400 fit into the IFS structure. Learn how to use System i Navigator tools to work with the IFS.

Registration includes access to the five webcasts listed below, handouts for each webcast, and access to a collaborative website on iSociety for discussion and offline support.
