IBM Midrange Products AS/400 RISC System AS/400 Advanced 36 AS/400 System/38 System/36 History in the Making The Central Florida Midrange User's Group (CFMUG) was formed in 1978 after a number of midrange executives and users expressed interest in having monthly meetings to share ideas among themselves, see new products and concepts presented by IBM Systems Engineers and Marketing Representatives, and be able to associate with people interested in fields in which they were working. The organization was formed with users of System/34's, System/36's and System/38's. During the early days, the IBM Corporation and member users spent considerable effort making sure the group received some of the best technical information and presentations available. Today the organization continues in that tradition so users will be aware of who in their community can share their interests.
