The average US company faces dozens of lawsuits each year, from a variety of sources.

And recent changes to the Federal Laws of Civil Procedure mandate specific requirements for the management of Electronically Stored Information (ESI). Either you comply, or the data you plan to use in your defense is inadmissible.

Once a lawsuit hits, the realities above stop being a problem for lawyers - and immediately become a problem for the storage manager. You need to produce specific information in specific formats under a short and rigid deadline.

This seminar can help you prepare for the above reality. Randolph A. Kahn, ESQ., author, educator, and founder of Kahn Consulting will present in multiple sessions throughout the day. Through his extensive experience in the legal, regulatory, and compliance issues of information technology, you will walk away from this seminar with:

·         An understanding of the Federal Laws of Civil Procedure and what it means to IT

·         Tips on formulating an approach that satisfies not just compliance needs, but data retention demands and overall organizational efficiency

·         Information on the technology solutions that can help you prepare for eDiscovery

·         How IT can work with legal departments, compliance officers, and management so everyone is speaking the same language
