Welcome fellow IBM Power Systems professionals in Southern California
The OrangeCounty Educational Advancement Network, Inc., better known as just OCEAN, is a non-profit user group and one of the largest and most pro-active IBM Power Systems Midrange user groups in the western states with over 400 members.
Our primary mission is to serve as an affordable educational source on the technology we use through monthly guest speakers and our annual technical conference and seminar. We are a non-profit corporation and are not sponsored by any vendor including IBM Corporation.
We meet the third Tuesday of the month, January through November. Our meetings are normally at IBM at 600 Anton 2nd Fl., Costa Mesa, California, from 6:00PM – 8:30PM.
Our membership is open to anyone interested in learning more about the information technology field. While our primary focus is the IBM Power Systems platform, we cover other areas like Microsoft .Net, VB, PHP, WebSphere, Client-Server information systems, JAVA, Object Oriented development, e-Business and Data Warehousing, XML, Internet and Intranet applications, IT Project Management, IT management and personal and career development topics as well.
Even if you are not a member, you can join our free Visitor Access and keep informed on educational events of OCEAN, IBM or technical seminars in the Southern California area including our annual Technical Conference. Watch for our upcoming Podcasts of monthly speakers at OCEAN.
