IBM is encouraging IBM i developers to try its enterprise modernization products in a cloud environment where they don't need to install any software. Developers today can work through common modernization scenarios using the latest IBM development tools to see if they would be candidates for possible purchase later. In the company's Enterprise Modernization Sandbox for Power Systems, part of IBM developerWorks, IBM provides developers with a series of three-hour time blocks to work through pre-designed exercises that replicate various modernization challenges.
