Milton, Are you logging into a network? We had the same problem with Windows 98SE (among others) and ended up haveing to create a shutdown command for user to use instead of using the normal Windows shutdown. We have client access on these machines but I'm thinking the problem was logging out of the network connection and not with client access. Anyway, we've just about switched all pc's that still run Win98SE to the 98 first edition and are having a lot less problems. Here's the contents of the shutdown command if it might help...... @ECHO OFF CLS Z: (NETWORK PATH) LOGOUT C: CD CD WINDOWS C:WINDOWSRUNDLL.EXE C:WINDOWSSYSTEMUSER.EXE,EXITWINDOWS CLS

Hi All, I am currently creating an image with Client Access being a part of it. The Problem: After installing Client Access (V4R5M0) the machine no longer shuts down. The System: iPAQ 866/815e(chipset)(legacy free) 128Mb Ram 10Gb HDD 10/100 Intel Nic I have run the windows 98se shutdown patch but this hasnt resolved the problem. I then ran the IP update for 95 patch from the Microsoft site, which seemed to fix the problem for around 2 shutdowns, then would revert to not shutting down again. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Milton
