You may not want to do this. Any automated tool will only take the lowest level of definition. Therefore instead of having a date field in DDS, you may have three fields: one each for YY, MM, and DD. Any REDEFINES clause within the group will not be allowed within a PF DDS. I've been through this before, and have found it better to rethink what you actually want your PF to look like. Dave

Dear All Could you help me ? I'm working for converting Cobol copybook to DDS. If you have similar sources on hand, could you send them to me ? I knew RPG,CL,COBOL...So, if possible, I can do it by myself. Also, if you know any tools can do that, could you let me know ? I appreciate you for your any message. Regards, Jason

I just wanna convert the lowest level of definition, but I need to creat another new member if the copybook contains more than one 01 level of definition. Did you find any tool or a way ? Could you tell me ? Thanks Jason
