Hi Nicholas. What questions do you have about the cycle? Also, what types of programs are you talking about? Batch Reporting or Interactive Screen? -Mean 1 (Formerly a 34/36 programmer for many years)

Nicholas, I am currently a programmer on both our 400 and 36 so I can be of contact to you if need be. I also have a flowchart of the RPG logic cycle. Post your email address and I can scan it and send it to you via email. Mark

My email address is: nhart@mptf.org. At the moment, I cannot figure out how to use the SDA to change a screen. IBM support wasn't much help in this either. I would greatly appreciate any help you can offer. I now have a book that is helping me understand the logic cycle but practice is probably what I need most right now. Nicholas Hart MPTF

I have been blessed with the job of updating some old S/36 code. Can someone recommend a book, document or website that explains the whole concept of the logic cycle in RPGII. And if there are any S/36 gurus out there, I would be interested in talking with you further. Many Thanks! Nicholas Hart IT Director MPTF

learned in rpg/400, went to ILE, switched jobs to s/36, and we just replaced that software with rpg/400 and ILE. I had a hard time grasping the concept of Menu Source, etc, when i was familiar with the newer SDA. Let me know if you need some help, im definately not an expert, but i might have some insight to where you are coming from and where you are going to!! Nettie
