Hmmm, looks like a homework assignment. OK, I haven't written a level break program in a while, so I'll bite. First, define a logical file over the data to sort on the ITEM field. I'll leave that exercise to you. Second, check the attached RPG program. Again, I'll leave it to you to figure out what it does and why it works.
