How can I define a klist in free form RPG? Currently we leave INZSR subroutine in the fixed format and place klist and parm opcodes in there. Can we have entire program as free form? Thanks. Max

No, there's no syntax for opcodes KLIST and KFLD in /free blocks. I recommend just coding your KLIST's at the top of the calcs and consider them part of the declarations. Then start your real calcs and /free just after the last KFLD. For the PLIST and PARM opcodes, they really are out of date. Code procedure prototype and procedure interface definitions instead. In some possible future release of RPG IV, there may be some alternatives to KLIST's. For example, in a /free block, you might be able to code all search arguments of a compound key directly in a CHAIN operation, instead of having to code a KLIST.
