You can solve items #1, and #2, simply by creating screen formats (DSPF) with the WINDOWS keyword. Using HELP, and HLPxxx keywords in the primary DDS will immediately point to the desired format. I'm not sure about your item #3. Dave

Put your help text in an HTML document on the IFS and have user click on the link to open the HTML document. If your AS/400 is on the internet, you could search those documents on just that site with a GOOGLE search. Chris

Our iSeries help text documents, that were previously maintained through OfficeVision, are now text members that are maintained through SEU. I'm trying to find an alternate solution to this situation. In order to maintain our help text you have to be a programmer (or something close to it, like me.) I started researching panel groups but don't think that's the solution for us. Again, it would require a programmer to maintain it and it's still going to display on a green screen similar to how it looks now. What I envision is something like this: 1) The user presses the help key on any screen 2) A *windows* looking box appears with information about the specific screen 3) Also in this window there are tabs for looking up help text via search, index, category, etc. Does anyone know how I could create something like this or do you have any other alternate solutions? Thanks for your consideration!
