I created an SQL statement and ran it under iSeries Navigator with VisualExplain. When it finished and gave me the results and the diagram I clicked on Actions/Advisors/Index Advisor to see what it would like for me to do as far as creating indexes to make the SQL run faster. On one of the suggestions it had *MAP ASCEND TXDATE ASCEND *MAP ASCEND. I can't find any explanation as to what *MAP refers to. Any help would be appreciated. TIA Bill Barnes
