Password composition

Could you use the Password validation program to accomplish this? According to the Help, this provides the ability for a user-written program to do additional validation on passwords.

Yes, writing a password validation program will allow you to require a special character in the password. This program is documented in the iSeries Security Reference manual, which can be found in .PDF form at www.iseries.ibm.com/infocenter. Choose the region, release, then Security from the left nav bar.

I work in the military world. We need to move our password composition to require use of special characters. Currently there are no system values that will assist with this requirement. How can I satisfy this password composition requirement? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks Larry L. Swain
