Just end that QZRCSRVS job; it is an orphan now. How can I release the lock held on a source member after my PC crashed? Job QZRCSRVS has the source member locked on the as/400. Is it best to just end that job? Win2000 crashed while I was in Code Designer and I have been searching the "documentation" for a way to release it and locate my changed source. Thanks Jack

I must have read your post wrong. It says win 2000 crashed and according to microsoft win2k is there most stable, secure release ever. anyway... You can also right-click on the communications daemon icon in the system tray and select 'shutdown all servers'. This basically ends any QZSCSRVS jobs created by your WDT session.

This might be late but I'll offer it anyway and apologize if you already know this but when mine locks up I just enter WRKOBJLCK on the source file (etc qrpgsrc) & library & member (program name) I was working on and hit f6 for your member to show. You should see the "QZ" job which you can then end with a 4.
