Problems connecting to Code/400 from 1 of 2 AS/400's

We have 2 AS/400s - a 720 and a 170 and 4 developers. We can -almost- never get the 720 and Code/400 connected. Either from the PC or from the AS/400, with or without STRCODE. Both 400s have V4R5 and the same Cumm and HIPer ptfs. My PC is running Win2K, the others are all Win98. Code/400 is V5R1 w/SP5. We think this problem was introduce by SP4 or SP5. The symptoms are very much like that described in APAR SE04151 but we all have unique Current libraries and *USRPRF in server config. Anybody else having similar problems??? [[Violaine, if your reading, -- SE04151 doesn't list a fix. Is there one in the works??]]

Hi Jerry, Yes I am reading :-) Yes, there was a regression bug introduced in V5R1M0 SP5 where the current library in the Communication Console is ignored. So if you depend on that setting, then that is most likely your problem. This issue is fixed in our next release WDSC 4.0 (might be SP1 - I can't remember). We are hoping to include this fix in what is to be called an eFix (not quite as big as a service pack). The eFix availability date is not set yet :-) Hope this helps!
