Where do the file types and descriptions get written on the pc ?? I downloaded src files (lib/qrpgsrc) to my pc then copied the dir to another pc , when i list the dir with code , i don't get the file types listed and the descriptions anymore. Worse is , if i upload the sorce i don't get it on the AS400 . Is there a way of transporting the info from one pc to another ??

<DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I did a " get from host " to download the files. What we are doing is , leavig the src files on a server disk that is accessed by various pc's. We would like that all pc's get the right desc. and type so when they do 'put tohost' it returns the right way. What reg key shouldi search for ?</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Would it not be better to write an ini file (ex pgm001.rpg -- pgm001.fds , wherethe fds contains the file info) ?? </FONT></DIV> <DIV></DIV></DIV> <BLOCKQUOTE style="PADDING-RIGHT: 0px; PADDING-LEFT: 5px; MARGIN-LEFT: 5px; BORDER-LEFT: #000000 2px solid; MARGIN-RIGHT: 0px"> <DIV><haklui@ca.ibm.com> ha scritto nel messaggio news:a5imhe$1dbi$1@news.boulder.ibm.com...</DIV> <FONT face=sans-serif size=2>How did you download your files?</FONT> <FONT face=sans-serif size=2>There are two ways that the file properties are saved.</FONT> <FONT face=sans-serif size=2>1.
