Using AS/400 Usernames and passwords from java?

Is this Java class running on the iSeries? If so, you can specify "localhost" "*current" "*current" for the system, user id and password. Chris

Is there a way I can use the same username/password in my java application used to sign onto the as/400? I know the IBM Web admin tool uses this techinque. anyone know how this is done? thanks.

no, the java application is on the client machine. I would like to provide a login screen, but use the as/400 username/passwords to authenticate.
