Slow IP Printers

We have the same problem with our IP attached laser printers. I think it has to do with HPT but I sure would like to know how to speed it up!

Now I'm not an expert by any stretch of the imagination, but if you haven't already, check your memory pools ( WRKSYSSTS ). You may need to bump up Pool 3 [ which from what I've read, is the pool that controls printing -it may be different on larger machines, I only have 170s ] and see if that does the trick. When you changed out the DASD some of these values may have been changed. Also PM400 will change these values on the fly (along with the SYSVAL QPFRADJ). Hope this helps. Layton

I have recently changed all my DASD out of my AS/400. I went from 4GB drives to 8GB drives. One think I have noticed is my IP printers, configured as outq's are very slow now. Is there something that got changed when I reloaded my system? Appericate any help Steve
