Carl. Watch out for CFINT on your 720. If you are sailing close to the wind with your current interactive performance on V4.4, then at V5.1 this is likely to become more of a problem i.e interactive could slow down dramatically. Your client access PCs need to be running TCP/IP, SNA clients are not supported at V5.1.. this is usually where the effort is needed in upgrading clients. You can upgrade the clients to V5.1 client access express whilst your system is a V4.4. Hope this helps,, Roger.

Thanks Roger. I need to do a little more work on the CFINT job.

Hi all, am planning to upgrade from 4.4 to 5.1 on our 720, have done all the planning and research - anyone know of any pitfalls I should look out for? Will older versions of CA400 still be OK when we upgrade? We plan to roll out CA400 5.1 at a later date TIA Carl

I thought CFINT was only a problem up to 4.5. I thought I was told that in 5.1 and up, CFINT would not take over the whole processor any more. Are you saying that interactive clients will perform slower with 5.x?
