Operations console performance

Our company has a model 170DSD with an operations console running at V5R1. The response time on the console is horrible, sometimes it takes 30 seconds to process a request and display the next screen. Has anybody else experienced this problem? If so, what is the fix (if any)? TIA for any feedback, positive or negative.

Yep. Got the same issue. I even changed some setting, I don't remember which one, to increase the "speed" over the "null modem connection" (for lack of a better description), no change. Have you noticed that it seems that the tcp address that opscon attaches through is the loopback? Maybe that has something to do with it! I think it is some quirk about opscon. Who knows, My motto is GIVE ME A TWINAX CONSOLE OR GIVE ME SOMETHING THAT HAS SPEED!!!!
