1. How current are you on PTF's? I realize this is a very old os version, but you should be able to the "last" cum. 2. Have you tried shutting down ALL tcp servers and starting them again? 3. Do you have all object authority or are you signed on as a user with all object authority? I looked at the message (V5R2) this is what it says: CPF3CDB 40 Exit point &1 with format &2 does not exist. I think it is #3. If not, try #2. If that doesn't help, You may need IBM help, if they will give it to you! good luck

I have a box which is running V4R5 on which I cannot get the FTP TCP server to start. Attempting to start the server results in a job log being produced, which includes the following exception message from module QTMFPUTL. " Message . . . . : Exception CPF3CDB occurred when trying to get information for exit point QIBM_QTMF_SVR_LOGON with format name TCPL0200." Any suggestions what the problem might be? I can post more extracts from the job log if it helps. TIA

Bentley, Thanks for the suggestions. 1) I Suspect CUM packs may be a little out of date. I'll be speaking to one of my colleagues tomorrow to discuss this. 2) The box was IPL'd at the weekend.I'll have a trawl through the joblogs and see if can spot anything 3) I have a *SECOFR user profile with *ALLOBJ special authority. Thanks for the help so far.
