I am thinking about converting to BRMS to back up 3 to 4 AS/400s. A co-worker told me that I would not need a tape drive for each AS/400 if I used BRMS. However, after doing some more research, it is my understanding that you do have to use a tape drive physically connected to the AS/400 in order to save the system objects (SAVSYS). Is this correct? Also, I am just curious what your thoughts are on BRMS in general? Are there any major disadvantages? Thank you in advance for your input.
