We have a production machine running release V4R2M0 and a test machine running release V4R3M0. We changed the default on the test machine to compile all objects at release V4R2M0. We've had this arrangement for months with no problems. Now the CL compiler has stopped working. Joblogs show message CPF0814 "Licensed Program 5769-SS1 Option 9 not installed." I've asked around the shop but no one knows of any recent changes to the test machine. Any ideas?

Had you ever installed the License Key? Are you getting these messages for other products. Did your 70 day grace period expire? Has anyone set the system date forward or backward?

Option 9 is the '*PRV CL Compiler Support'. I believe it is necessary to compile CL programs to an earlier target release. Check your installed license programs to see if it is missing. If so, you should be able to install it from your original CD's.

We checked our licensed programs and sure enough, *PRV CL Compiler support is missing. No one knows how it went missing because we were able to backward-compile CL programs as recently as last week. Oh well... time to dig up the CD's. Thanks for your help.
