Shen, It depends on the disk type. 9335 disks had 2 actuators per disk drive, whereas 9337, and most new disks only have 1. The information used to be in the AS/400 System Handbook, but has now been omitted, I guess because for most people thereis now a 1 to 1 relationship between disk drives and diskactuators (the bit that reads the data.)
