We have the same issue here. We are experiencing the problem in the XP Professional OS. We also run Personal Communications. This has the same problem. I have found a patch for Personal Communications on IBM's site. I dont know if this will fix CA or not. Unfortunatly I am waiting on the Mainframe staff to get me the patch.

We are also having a similar problem, when opening up multiple sessions with our Client Access V3 Rev 2. Each time a new session is created the same error occurs. Does anyone know if the latest version of Client Access will fix this problem, or if the problem is just an XP problem. I have been thinking of trying it out on a Windows 2000 Platform. Any Help would be greatly appreciated as this is a major problem for us as we use multiple sesssions a lot. Feel free to email to simon.goode@mt.com Thanx

I found something on the personal communications website . (http://www-3.ibm.com/software/network/pcomm/). There is a service pack for version 5.0.3 which mentions an apar "IC30808 - PCSERR100 WHEN ALLOCATING BUFFER" . You need to have a key to download, which i don't have. Another question : do these service-packs of personal communications automaticly get integrated in the client-access service packs ? Does anyone have an idea ?

I have the same problem in our environment. The latest Client Access 5.1 patches seemed to have mostly fixed the problem, but it still happens from time to time. From my observations, when a customer first boots up, they can connect to as many sessions as they want (I've seen 10 sessions to 2 different AS400 boxes). The problem seems to come up again when that customer has been working for a few hours with only 1 session connected (normal applications are also open, excel, word, outlook, internet) they can not connect to another session (to either AS400 box) without rebooting. Seems like it's almost a timeout issue of some type rather than a memory error. Let me know if you find anything.

There have been fixes for similar problems as recently as V5R1M0 Service Pack SI02795. I would recommend contacting IBM Service to have this particular problem investigated.

I was having the same problem but after applying the service pack to XP the problem seems to have gone away. Now I've only installed the SP in the last couple of days so take this with a grain of salt.

We are on windows xp with client-access express 5.1 and the latest service-pack. When we try to connect multiple 5250 sessions, we often get message PCSERR100, with some reference to the windows memory heap. After that, we have to logoff before we can start the sessions. Is thes a windows problem ? Anyone a suggestion ? thanks, A. Gheldof

The SP for XP seems to have worked for me also. Thanks for sharing!
