Transferring file to the AS400

A few thoughts come to mind when dealing with QDLS - 1)The file name must be in the 8.3 format (like DOS was). 2) To use QDLS, you must be in the system directory (WRKDIRE). 3) You must have authority to the folder (WRKFLR). HTH, Joe

Please excuse me as I am somewhat of a novice at this, but how do I actaully copy the file from my PC to the folder on the AS400? Thanks

You should be able to drag & drop from your PC directly into an iSeries folder when working with OpsNav. Provided you meet the requirments in the previous response.

I am currently trying to transfer a .tif file to the AS400 using operations navigator. I need to put this in the QDLS folder on the AS/400. I am unable to do a simple copy and paste as I get an error message stating that I need to check my connection and authority. I belive I am missing a couple steps on what I need to do. Any and all assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks
