View Full Version : S/36 Programs on OS/400 V4R5 ?

I read on a news letter from IBM, that OS/400 V4R4 is the last release to S/36 programs and SSP as a Guest Operating System. What is that mean? Could I run S/36-Programs and OCL after installing Release V4R5? Thanks for a answer. Beat Kohler

If You Look on the book CL Commands For V4R5 What New - So You See that only MACHINE 36 Commands were taken off not S36 Environment Commands. The difference is - Machine 36 is to Run S36 Compiled Code and S36 Environment is to Run in an OS400 most OCL Statements and RPGII Compiled on AS400. Avrohom Notik Blue Square Israel
