Does anyone know of a way to determine who held/released a JOBQ. I have looked at QHST and it does not get logged there. I checked out the messages in QSYSOPR, but no message posted there. Lastly I looked at the JOBQ object itself, but there was not last change user/date information. Is there another place that I should look? Is this information obtainable?

Doesn't the joblog for the job being held tell you who held the job?

PDW400, I don't think you really can. I think the message is sent to the QSYSOPR MSGQ, but I don't think it can be found in the history for some reason. -bret

It is not a job that is being held, but a Job Queue. There is not a joblog associated with a job queue. Apart from setting up auditing for the actual Jobq object, I have not been able to find any other way of determining the person that is holding the jobq.

Once I had to scan CLP source for 7800 pgms to find the culprit... 'course it could be an interactive job. bobh

Auditing for the actual Jobq object is what I ended up doing. It works, at least.
