We are running our AS400 on V4R2. Within the library's supplied & pre installed on the AS400, there is QSYSV3R2M0, QSYSV3R7M0, QSYSV4R1M0, QSYSV4R1M4 and also QSYS38. Can these librarys be removed to free more disk space. If so, is it as simple as a DLTLIB ? Regards Phil

I would not delete them. You have paid for that product. Type GO LICPGM to get to the Work With Licensed Programs menu. Select option 10 to display installed licensed programs. You should see a licensed program 5769SS1 option 9 "OS/400 - *PRV CL Compiler Support." This is why those libraries are there. You can remove this licensed program (OPTION 9) if you want, but I wouldn't. You might run a disk space collection report and see exactly how much space they are using. You may not be gaining anything by removing them. Scott

It is far safer to SAVLICPGM, and then use options on the LICPGM menu (GO LICPGM) to safely remove prior release support. BTW, I would not recommend these actions, as you may have to use prior release support when you least expect it. Dave
