It's been mentioned that my dilemma regarding locations in multiple time zones sharing our '400 could be solved using LPAR. Can someone educate me about LPAR? How can I set it up? Could it solve my multiple time zone problem, i.e. set a different time/date for a location that is using LPAR. What are the down sides to LPAR? What about installing PTFs or doing Version upgrades with LPAR installed? If I use LPAR for one location, must I use LPAR for all locations attached to the '400? Anything I can read to help me learn about this? I'm sure there are a lot more questions, I just don't know enough about LPAR to know what else to ask. TIA

Go here: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/pubs/html/as400/v4r5/ic2924/info/index.htm On the left, locate and click on "Systems Administration, Availability and Maintenance". Locate and click on the "Logical Partitions" hyperlink. That should get you started. Hope it helps.
