High Availablity for AS400

We are currently using the EMC SRDF solution on AS400's and feel that because of the possibility of "damaged objects" in an unplanned failover, the business has decided to look at a software based solution. These being Data Mirror HA Suite, Lakeview Mimix and Vision OMS. Is anyone aware of the existance of an independent study of the 3 products (or others) and the comparisons of the same. Or alternatively, has anyone had good or bad or otherwise experienced these products and would like to share it with us. My e-mail is Johno_sullivan@hotmail.com.

John, We have the Vision OMS/400 product and are very happy with it. There is very little we have to do after it was initially setup, it just runs and does it's job. I don't know how it compares with the others as I wasn't involved in the purchase decision. We have had OMS for about 3 years and have had only a couple of minor problems and their tech support is very good at resolving issues. A client of mine uses DataMirror and seems to have quite a few problems with it. One being the speed of transferring the data and the other is having the files out of sync.
