In order to print a subset of a spool file, when I do a CHGSPLFA (Option 2 & F4, F10,page down) and try to specify the page range, it doesn't seem to work. Even after specifying the page range, the entire spool file is printed. Why isn't this option working for me ? Am I missing something here ? I am aware of the TAATOOL utility which accomplishes the above task. Also, I could extract the subset thru a CPYSPLF and then print the same. But, why isn't CHGSPLFA working for me ? Kindly help. Thanks very much.

<pep> Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but I believe if you are attaching the printer through TCP/IP and a remote outq you lose the ability to print by page range. Is this your scenario? Joe <pep>

This will fix the page range problem. Or, he could use the TAATOOL or my shareware called SPLTOOL that will allow you to duplicate a spooled file including only the pages specified. (SPLTOOL does much more than this as well.) You can download SPLTOOL at <a > href="http://www.bvstools.com">BVS/Tools</A> <A > HREF="http://prairie.lakes.com/~bvstone/"><IMG > SRC="http://prairie.lakes.com/~bvstone/images/sig.gif"></A></P>
