I came up with a problem in Adding Users to the Directory. The job log shows three errors: 1. Cursor not set to address data space entry. Error: MCH1803 recovery: cursor not set for data space number 0. 2. Operation sequence for member QAOKL03A not valid. 3. Error while processing file QAOKL03A in library QUSRSYS. Can anyone throw some light on this issue. Raj S.

If you are, type WRKPRB (Work with Problems) and press ENTER. Once on that screen follow the instructions for creating a Problem Report, and then <u>send</u> the problem via ECS. There are some things that are in the "IBM should be aware of this and fix it" domain. The description of your problem appears to be one of them. If a PTF already exists for this problem, you may receive it via ECS as part of the problem submission! Be sure to include the system message number in the header of the problem. David Abramowitz

Most typically IMExperience, problems with the directory involving file errors <eg. positioning> are a result of someone having performed RSTOBJ with ALWOBJDIF(*ALL) into library QUSRSYS of some QAO* files from a tape which has different member or file level identifiers; thus effecting files with naming xxxxxxxx0001 and TEXT('Old name ...') <text depending on > language>. Similarly for the naming/text of members per DSPFD QUSRSYS/QAO* *MBRLIST. Regards, Chuck Comments provided "as is" with no warranties of any kind whatsoever.</text>
