Novice am I. How/Where do I specify that all my print files are automatically placed on hold? In other systems I have used, this is specified in the user profile. Thanks in advance!

Thanks in advance! <hr> You could specify in the job description (*JOBD) that all spool files for a user go to a spcific output queue (*OUTQ). The output queue is created by the CRTOUTQ command. An output queue does not have to be assigned to a any printer. If no printer or writer is assigned, nothing sent to that output queue will print. The user still has the capability of displaying their spool files, and changing the output queue of their spool files to an output queue with a printer attached. This will, in effect, print the spool file. David Abramowitz
