Blocking problem with ICF program

I've scanned the previous messages, but I don't see anything that helps me on this. I have a program (ICF) that connects to a remote system and retrieves a file. My system is set at 512 blocking and so is the remote (target) system. But my program can not read from the remote system unless they remove the blocking. This is a manual process that is not practical for the remote site. I can send the remote system a file with no problems, I just can't receive one without them removing the blocking. The remote system is not an AS/400 but supports BSC3780. Any clues as to what I can change on my side in order for this to run smoothly?

Mark, you can change your blocking factor in your device description. The default is 512 but you can change it to a length divisble by your record length. Ron
