I need to access an AS/400 on the internet through our firewall. Our system get viruses and hacked a lot. As a result, our network admin. people will not allow any port traffic other then HTML(port 80 I think) and telnet port 23. But Express uses other ports just to signon. Is there a way to get CA Express to only use the telnet port of 23? All I want is Telnet access to the system on the internet anyway, no Ops Navigator, file transfer or anything like that.

There is a program called Mochasoft5250 that can be downloaded from www.mochasoft.de that gives you a 5250 telnet session that only uses port 23 I believe.

Paul, Check your TCP/IP settings using CFGCTP, then option 21 for configure related tables, then option 1 for Service table entries. Scroll down to the TELNET services. Mine are using port 23 already. Yours should also. Maybe you really want to come in thru port 992 for the SSL encryption support. HTH. Regards.
