I am currently running CA V3R2 on a V4R4 machine. It works fine if I am using TCP/IP, but if I try to do a file transfer using Netsoft and an SAA server I get the message CWBDB0070. Any thoughts? J

John, This is from the help text for that error: <pre> CWBDB0070 Unable to start database server due to server attribute data conversion error. Cause The AS/400 database server returned attribute values which the client was unable to interpret. Possible causes of this error are: · A library containing a specified national language sort sequence table is missing on the AS/400. · A specified national language sort sequence table is missing on the AS/400. · A value for a server language identifier was incorrect. · The AS/400 database server's functional level is incorrect. · The value returned from the AS/400 for the above attributes could not be converted to the client's code page. Recovery Check the AS/400 for the national language sort sequence library and table. Verify that the client has a managing system.</pre> So, I guess the first question is: Did you try the recovery option(s)? Bill

Bill, Been there, done that. Tried all of the options and tinkered around with the code page and CCSID on the client access properties. No Luck. Thanks for trying though. J

John, I am having the same problem. Did you find the cause of your problem? So far I haven't had any luck fixing this. Thanks, Bo
