Can I use Client Access V3R2M0 with up to date service packs on a Windows 2000 Professional machine?

You might be able to use it but it won't be supported. Check here for more information: http://as400service.rochester.ibm.com/n_dir/nas4apar.nsf/c79815e083182fec862564c 00079d117/8bb9a04bf81593a58625677700493d2e?OpenDocument HTH, Steve

Under the old Client Access, right-clicking on the AS/400 icon in Operations Navigator brought up a menu that included Properties. Under Properties, a tab titled Network allowed one to set automatic ASCII to EBCDIC conversion when communicating between PC and 400. Client Access Express does not seem to have this feature, at least I can't find it. Does this setting exist in CA Express? Anyway, I uninstalled CA Express and reinstalled the old CA. Unfortunately, I'm getting random Winsock errors when I try to use cttconn in a command prompt on the PC to establish a connection. Starting terminal emulator sessions works ok, though. Any ideas?

Jim, In CAX OpsNav, under you machine name, explode "File Systems", then double click on "File Shares". Right click on the element you want and go to properties. There you should see a tab for "Text Conversion". Should be what you are looking for. Joel
