We are using Client Access v3r2m0 and have several remote users that need CA installed as part of our Year 2000 preparations, but we will not be able to visit all the sites before the end of the year. Our operations manager has reservations about sending out CDs to the users because he doesn't want them to load the more advanced tools like Operations Navigator or the Applications SDK. Does anyone know a way of either creating a CD with only the components we want them to have, or creating a custom installation including only the Base Support, 5250 Emulation and Data Transfer? We looked at the silent install but it seemed a little too silent for our tastes. Also, does anyone know of a way of blocking the selective setup from the managing system after the package is installed? It doesn't do us any good to prevent the users from loading stuff from the CD if they can just upgrade later from the AS/400 itself. Any help would be appreciated.
