I have a user that cannot see the IFS directories thru Network Neighborhood. No one else has this problem. The 400 user profile seems the same as other users. Also we are at V4R4 on the AS/400, but I am using V3R2 of Ops Navigator. What release should I be running? Thank you, George Bennett http://www.georgebennett.com/

Did you refer to the help regarding File Systems in Ops Navigator? There's something about directory entry that could be pertinent. Jim

Hi George, How's Atlanta? What's the user's authority to the *AUTL QPWFSERVER? I think this "fig leaf" controls whether or not a user will see the IFS in Network Neighborhood or Explorer.exe. Chris Ringer

QPWFSERVER is set to *USE for PUBLIC. I tried looking for specific File System help, but nothing I found seemed very helpful. The user profile does have a 400 directory entry.

Atlanta is OK. I am doing a lot with the HTTP server on the 400. RPG on the backend and ASP on the frontend. Are you still in Indy? Send me email sometime. george@georgebennett.com

George - Are your users using Client Access? If so, what version are the 'good' users using vs. the version that the 'bad' user is using? Steve

They are both at V3R2 SF59075 of Client Access. I am checking with the operations group to see if they have any ideas.

How similar are this user's network userID and password to the AS/400 userID and password? If they are not identical you're going to have to make allowances for that.
