The AS/400 is being switched to another network this weekend. The IP address will need to be changed and the default gateway. Can anyone give me step by step instructions on the commands used and pitfalls to look for. Or is it just as easy as NETSTAT and changing the route information and IP address? Does TCP need to be ended first? Thanks, Mallory Crouse

I have not yet done that, but I would suggest adding the IP address now, before you need to switch. CFGTCP and 1. Work with TCP/IP interfaces. Add the new interface to the same line as your existing one. It will be added, but won't be started until you end tcp and restart it. you will not be able to add the new host table entry for your system, though, as you can not have two IP address with the same host name. As far as I know that is all that has to be change, *but*, on our system we are not using routing information, so that may need to be changed. regards, Jim Langston
