I assume you are talking about the net address in the x.25 line description. (The CRTLINX25 command.)Each computer (or node) on an x.25 network needs an address. Just like every phone on the phone network has a unique phone number and every computer on the Internet has a TCP/IP number. If you are on a private x.25 network, make up an address for each node. If you are on a shared x.25 network, you need to get an address from the network administrator. I am curious, Why x.25? In the U.S. frame relay and the Internet has replaced x.25. We still have one Unix computer on an X.25 network. It will be gone replaced in 2000. The cost of x.25 is so high compared to frame relay and Internet that you can recover the cost of converting very quickly.
