I love compaq business class PC's. The Presario is a home machine and not really built for LAN uses. Up until a couple of years ago Compaq would not support a Presario on the network. I have one office that bought Presario 5724 and they have had nothing but trouble.

I just bought a COMPAQ 5726. It's the first time I didn't build a PC from scratch. The economics of the situation dictate that now, it's actually less expensive to buy something off the shelf. Anyway, this sucker is a Pentium III 96m RAM, 20 gig storage, w/DVD ROM, a DSL/V.90 modem, zip drive, a dynamite sound system, and ethernet card all for under $600. In addition there is plenty of software included. How could you go wrong? Dave
