AS/400 interactive performance

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me find a performance tool for the AS/400. I have constructed a report which depicts interactive responce time on our AS/400 is sub second. However our users perception is that responce times are much slower. I have heard that there is a tool which can monitor elapsed and AS/400 interactive responce times for a users PC. Does anyone know of what this tool is calle dor if there are any other utilities which perform the same function. Any help is appreciated Regards Lee

Lee, Have you looked at IBM Performance Tools for AS/400 (5769-PT1). It might not be quite what your'e looking for, but I use it regularly both in house and on customer machines to gather performance data and produce reports. Rgds Mark

Lee, Mark is right in saying that through Performance Tools, you can gather Response Time, CPU Utilization (Interactive and Batch separately) for a relative interval, which depends on time interval you setup. There is another tool BEST/1 which also gives u the network delays .... I dont know how it calculates it, but this tool separates the Response time, in three categories Local (i.e. systems Internal Response Time), LAN Response and WAN Response Time. But this tool also uses the data created by Performance Tools/400 :) As suggested by Mark, Performance Tools/400 is I think the right tool for your situation, as BEST/1 is usually used for Planning purposes.
