I realize that this is an international forum, and that not everyone celebrates the U.S. Holiday of Thanksgiving. OTOH, I also believe that one does not need a special day in order to recognize that each of us, in our own way has something to be thankful for. With that in mind, please allow me to offer thanks for the knowledge, wisdom, and entertainment this forum has provided; and to say thank you to my colleagues for their contributions, and in many cases their friendships. I want to wish everyone, from the entire Abramowitz family, the happiest of Thanksgivings. Dave

I would also like to thank everyone here for your kindnesses, great and small, over the years. This forum is enlightening, engaging, at times exasperating and at times ennobling. I have seen words of great meaning and strength bubble up out of what one might think is nothing more than a simple exchange of tedious technical drudgery. But this forum in particular shows the Internet at its best, where the whole far exceeds the sum of its parts. So thanks, everyone, for building a community that excels at the simple shared goal of doing a better job, but that also rises to something a little more. Joe

We had our official Thanksgiving here (Canada) over a month ago, but you are right David, that anyday anywhere is a good day for giving thanks. So, I join you in wishing Happy Thanksgiving! to everyone on this forum, and your families. And I join Joe in giving thanks for this forum; it's indeed a great example of what the internet can be. All the AS/400 online forums seem to have a similar spirit of co-operation and friendliness. So I give thanks for being part of the AS/400 community in general; long may it survive and far may it spread. Barbara

I really enjoy this time of year when we pause to count our blessings.... I just hope no one asks for a re-count of our blessings in this election year :( jte

This landed in my inbox today, and thought I'd share it. Enjoy! __________________________________________________ ___________________ As you make your lists of what gifts you will be giving others this holiday season, think about the things on this list: --THE BEST GIFTS TO GIVE: --To your friend - loyalty --To your enemy - forgiveness --To your boss - service --To a child - a good example --To your parents - gratitude and devotion --To your mate - love and faithfulness --To all men and women - love These are the perfect gifts; you don't have to spend money on them, wonder how to wrap them, worry if they'll fit or be the right color. Most of all, they will make everyone who receives them very happy! --TODAY'S BIT OF WISDOM/REFLECTION: When Mother Theresa received her Nobel Prize, she was asked, "What can we do to promote world peace?" She replied, "Go home and love your family."
