UDB, or DB2/400, or whatever it is being called this week, is the RDBMS, that is integrated with every AS/400. V4R4 has been extant for over a year now, and has had a very thorough workout. Depending on what you are doing, you may want to order V4R5. IBM is taking orders now, with delivery set for some time in August. How will you be working with the database? Dave

We have an existing system running V4 R3 and I wanted to make sure V4 R4 was stable before moving to the next release.

Prior to going to V4R4 I remember reading that it was a very stable release. My experience with it since installing it a couple of months ago leads me to the conclusion that what I read was correct. Go for it!
