RPG II in S/36 Environment Limitations

Scott - Limitations have become less restrictive and/or eliminated over time. What box and what software release are you on? Just an old mainframer caught in the Web!

Scott - I have never worked on a 436, but I am working with V3R7 on an AS/400. If my memory serves me, the maximum program size limits have been eliminated. I just did an on-line Internet search of the IBM V3R7 System/36-Compatible RPG II User's Guide and Reference manual finding on page A.1 a Changes in Capacity table showing the System/36 RPG II maximum number of files in a program to be 20 and the AS/400 System/36-Compatible RPG II limit to be 50 files. In case you don't know. Most IBM manuals are now available on the Internet with good search capabilities.
