Karen, With any new release you run a risk of breaking something. This late in the release it is likely that IBM has already fixed the general problems. Are you experiencing a specific problem (some program(s) running longer etc.) or is performance poor in general? David MOrris

Actually it is RPG programs running SQL statements. We have noticed that all jobs on the system are running longer, whether it be a few minutes or six (6) hours longer.

Karen, You might try searching this forum for CFINT. Briefly, if you upgraded your hardware to one of the new eServer models, you had limits placed upon your CPW. My scenario was we upgraded from a system 500, to a server 720, but I still was at V4R4 that had been installed on the system model. My performance remained good, until I upgraded the OS to V4R5. Then all of it went down the tubes. Other's have called me crazy, but I KNOW it was the V4R5 upgrade that placed the Interactive/Batch limits in force. The worst offenders of the new limits are SQL and QRY jobs. I've been told they are only a problem in an interactive setting, but even my batch runs are twice as slow. If you want to see an improvement, it appears the only thing you can do is throw money at IBM by upgrading your interactive card. See my referenced Red Book. The PDF file is named AS4PPCP3. Dale

We have just upgraded an lpared AS/400 from V4R4 to V4R5. Our ERP package is JBA. Has anyone experienced performance issues with V4R5?
