I've previously upgraded a 170 to V5R1 DBCS English and noticed a significant drop in performance. I'm trying to decide whether to upgrade another 170 (same hardware spec) to V5R1 SBCS. Whilst I know IBM support it, I was wondering whether anyone else out there has had actual experience with running V5R1 SBCS on a 170 and how is the performance? Cheers
