    You can scan the MC site for a number of responses referring to this issue. I too found this out through an upgrade and IBM told me that they rewrote the both the cpyto and cpyfrm commands to accomidate some "issues" they had. You can call ibm support for the "workaround" or scan the MC site.

    When I spoke with IBM support on this same 'issue', I was told to use CPYTOSTMF instead of CPYTOIMPF. Refer to IBM's Technical Document 17161139 for further information. Hope this helps.

      Hi, Before V5R3, the following command works and it produces an ASCII file which is readable in PC too, but after upgrading V5R3 the file produced is readable in AS400 but not on the PC Kindly advise. Thanks Shafiq

        I tried this on both v5r2 and v5r3, using MS Excel, I could read either. It seems to work for me.
